A complete subscription-tracking SaaS built end to end: product, design system, REST API, billing, team workspaces, and the marketing site that sells it.
Subvisory is a privacy-first subscription tracker: track recurring payments, free trials, and billing cycles with no bank connection required. We built the entire application from first commit to production. The product covers dashboards, forecasting, a what-if scenario engine, calendar and trial tracking, ten currencies with live exchange rates, and Business-tier team workspaces with roles and an audit trail. Under the hood it runs Next.js 16 with the React Compiler, a Hono REST API documented with OpenAPI and interactive Scalar docs, Drizzle on Neon Postgres, Polar billing, and Upstash rate limiting, all wrapped in a token-driven OKLCH design system with full light and dark modes. Every mutation flows through one tested service layer shared by the UI and the public API, backed by 335 tests.

Never surprised by a charge
A month view lays every payment on the calendar with daily amounts and a running monthly total. Trials get countdown timers, reminders arrive by email before the charge, and everything respects the user's timezone.

The Business plan turns a personal tracker into team infrastructure: shared workspaces with Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer roles, email invitations, ownership transfer, CSV import and export, and a 30-day activity log so every change is accountable.

A real API, documented like one
Pro and Business users automate through a Hono-powered REST API that shares its service layer with the UI, so behavior never drifts. Keys are SHA-256 hashed with read/write scopes, requests are rate limited per plan, and the OpenAPI 3.1 spec ships with interactive Scalar docs.

Monetization is built in, not bolted on: Polar handles checkout and the billing portal, plan limits are enforced server-side, and entitlements downgrade gracefully even if a billing webhook never arrives. Free forever, Pro at $5, Business at $15.
